Laugh Out Loud: Part 1-
I saw an article in the April issue of Parents Magazine that made me laugh out loud. The topic was called “The 7 Stages of My New Butt” by author, Kari Anne Roy. It used humor to deal with the issue of a woman’s changing body (especially her butt) after childbirth.
It’s been 6 years for me on this issue, but I remember how my changing body affected my self esteem. It’s tough.
The article addresses the 7 stages of getting used to your evolving booty:
Stage 1- Denial: You don’t have a new expanding bottom, it’s the same one you had when you got married.
Stage 2- Shock: You thought it was the same butt, but who shrank your jeans?
Stage 3- Anger: Sure men say they love curves, but what’s with the butt dimples? And why can’t you just leave them at home? It’s practically stalking you.
