I hope that all of you had a good Thanksgiving. My turkey and stuffing (my father’s recipe) turned out well. I defiantly need to take a turkey slicing-101 class from my brother. I felt like I did more mangling than cutting, but no one said anything. It was moist and on-time. Both good qualities.
I did well on the eating department. I used a kid’s plate. Enjoyed a bit of stuffing, white meat turkey, cranberry sauce, and bread. A bit of our families pumpkin pie. All good. Then I was super tired from spending a total of 7 hours getting all this prepped and ready, and I had a few dinner rolls with honey after dinner. Not smart. I felt like crap about 20 minutes later. Well, there it is.
Now, today is a new day, and I am starting again. I worked out before the kids got up, and I’m going to use leftover turkey for my protein today. I’m going to enjoy my kids, not beat myself off for my food indiscretion and enjoy Black Friday. I hope you do the same.
